October 8, 2024 – Big Creek Park (Pedestrian Loop) (again)

I went back to Big Creek Park the next day and attempted the pedestrian loop AGAIN – this time, starting from the opposite direction, which is still the only way I know how to complete the loop to this day. Like I keep saying, it’s confusing!

What I finally figured out was that the trail continues to the right of the area where people do mountain bike tricks (the Skills Kitchen, I believe.) There are picnic tables; you go to the right of those, where there’s a little wooden fence dividing your trail from the bike area.

From there, you walk around this big, circular depression in the ground that often holds onto rain water. Not quite a river or a stream, just a…watery circle. You will then encounter the only bridge in the park that’s shared by pedestrians and bikers. Turn right, then there will be signs for the pedestrian path again.

I hope this makes sense, but, most importantly, I hope this helps someone, lol.
