Big Creek Greenway – from Ed Isakson YMCA to Rock Mill Park and back

~4 miles or more

If I recall correctly, this was the day I met with a cardiologist to discuss the results from the heart monitor I’d worn for 2 weeks. I was confused and thought I was having the tilt table test to check for POTS that day, but luckily (or unluckily?) that wouldn’t end up taking place until October. If this is the day I was thinking of, I was almost late to my appointment due to a road block and I was livid about that. I despise being late. Anyway.

This was the first section I walked with my loving partner, Noah, who had also accompanied me to the appointment. I wanted to show him the section I’d already completed because I really enjoyed it. We took some really cute pictures together and actually went into Rock Mill Park, which means we went a little further than I had previously. I enjoyed the stone amphitheater there and we saw cypress knees (not pictured), which he taught me about.

Noah loves Little Free Libraries - he even has the app! - so we were stoked to find one there and browse what it had to offer.

While we were walking back, it got dark out, so that made for a very interesting experience. I felt surprisingly comfortable walking with Noah in the dark. Way safer than I would’ve felt alone!
